Integrating the Sokin Pay Plugin
To integrate the Sokin plugin, you first need to be onboarded for Sokin pay.
Once onboarded, make sure to download the latest version. The latest versions can be found in the Sokin API document. Be sure to select the download link that corresponds to the plug-in you are using.
WooCommerce
Sokin Pay’s WooCommerce plugin is built to ensure a smooth user experience, focusing on accessibility, performance, and ease of use. It allows for swift transactions, secure data handling, and intuitive functionality.
To install the Sokin Pay plugin you must first install the WooCommerce plugin to your Wordpress portal.
System requirements:
- WordPress 6.5 or higher.
- PHP 7.4.0 or higher.
Supported versions:
- Compatible with WooCommerce Plugin versions 9.0.x and 9.1.x.
To install the Sokin Pay Plugin follow these steps:
1. Download the latest Sokin Pay plugin: https://api-docs.sokin.com/#tag/E-commerce/WooCommerce
2. Click upload Plugin on the add new Plugin page of the WordPress page.
3. Choose and upload the correct plugin to be installed.
4. Once installed successfully, click Activate.
Configuration
Once the Sokin Pay plugin is installed and activated, navigate to the WordPress sidebar and follow these steps:
1. Navigate to WooCommerce and click Settings.
2. Ensure the necessary details are entered in the General, Products and Shipping tabs.
3. Click Payments.
4. Enable Sokin Pay.
5. Once Sokin pay is enabled, click Manage to begin the configuration.

Once you click ‘Manage’, a screen will appear where you should enter the following details:
- Title
- Checkout URL - https://portal.sokin.com/sokinpay/customerPay
- X API Key – The X API key is a unique code which can be found in your Sokin portal under ‘Settings’ > ‘Sokin Pay API configuration’. If you generate a new API key, the new key will need to be added to your Plugin to ensure Sokin Pay continues to work.
- API URL - https://api.sokin.net/api/services/v1
Once all details are entered correctly, click ‘Save changes’.
Now that the Sokin Pay plugin is enabled and configured correctly, you should be able to see Sokin Pay as a payment option via your ecommerce checkout page.
* To use this plugin please ensure your WooCommerce hosting provider allows outgoing HTTPS connections and whitelist https://api.sokin.net.
